Local Guide
Reaching Us from North Tampa
Our office at 3216 W Azeele Street is an easy run down from North Tampa. Most patients come via Dale Mabry Highway south, the Veterans Expressway to Kennedy Boulevard, or I-275 to the Howard Avenue exit — all of which drop you within a few minutes of the office, just off South Howard Avenue.
North Tampa is family territory. Between the established Carrollwood and Westchase neighborhoods, the student and faculty community around USF and Temple Terrace, and the young families filling New Tampa and Tampa Palms, we see a lot of whole-household dermatology — kids with eczema, warts, and molluscum, teenagers with acne, and parents juggling their own annual skin checks at the same time.
The local lifestyle shapes what we treat. Weekend youth sports, Busch Gardens days, pool afternoons out in Westchase and Lake Magdalene, and year-round golf add up to a lot of intermittent, intense sun — the pattern behind the sun damage and atypical moles Dr. Sergay looks for. Patients from Lutz and Citrus Park, who spend the most time outdoors, often book an annual full-body skin cancer screening as a standing appointment.
The drive from North Tampa is also a chance to combine visits. Many families book back-to-back appointments so more than one member is seen the same afternoon, and being a direct-pay practice means we can schedule that without the insurance constraints that push clinics into single-issue visits.
